Category winners ABN AMRO Retailer and Webshop 2016 – 2017 are announced


The category winners of the public prices ABN AMRO Best Retail Chain of the Netherlands 2016 – 2017 and the ABN AMRO Webshop Awards 2016 – 2017 are well known. Over 277,000 consumers heard the call to review their favorite retail chains and webshops at www.bestewinkelketen.nl and www.webshop-awards.nl.

n 28 categories, over 50 prizes are awarded to 30 retailers. Hunkemöller is for the tenth year in a row. Best retail chain in the category Lingerie & Underwear and Primera won three category prizes. Bol.com went home with three Webshop Awards.

There are eight new category winners this year under a total of 28 categories. The new category winners are Etos (Health & Wellness), Jac Hensen (Men’s Fashion), Warmth Services (Kitchens & Bathrooms), Media Market (Music, Movies & Games), Eye Wish Opticians, Optical Better Bed, Decathlon ) And BelCompany (Telecom). New categories and associated winners include Bever (Outdoor), Gall & Gall (Food & Beverage Specialty Stores), Baker Bart (Food & Drink to Go) and Primera (Reading Supplies, Office Supplies). Within the category Jewelery & bijouterie only Lucardi was able to nominate. With over 3,000 reviews, Lucardi made the only chance of this category price, which has led to the expiration of the category.

The winners in these new categories are Shoeby (Baby & Child), Formido (Building Markets), 123inkt.nl (Electronics), Jac Hensen (Men’s Fashion), Hair (Shoes), Better Bed (Sleep), Bol.com (Toys) Decathlon (Sports), DEEN (Supermarkets), Apple (Telecom), Bol.com (Warehouse) and FonQ (Residential). New categories and their winners are: 123inkt.nl (Office supplies), Warmth service (Kitchens & bathrooms), bol.com (Leeswaren), Hans Anders (Optiek), Bever (Outdoor) and Welkoop (Garden).

Price more important than service

Consumers consider the composition of the range and service levels in retail chains less important this year than previous years. This year he looks more closely at the price of products. At webshops there is a slight decrease in the importance of price levels and attractive offers. At the same time, there is a little more attention to aspects such as service and delivery. At webshops, the range and value for money remain the most important.
